Chief Engineer - POSITION FILLED

Our Client a 4 star hotel in Luang Prabang is seeking for a Chief Engineer:


As a Chief Engineer you are responsible on all matters related to the repairs and maintenance operation of the hotel and maintain all mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment including heating and ventilation, whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:

·Responsible for maintaining all mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment including heating and ventilation, also the general maintenance of the hotel complex.

·Organizes and sets up preventative maintenance programmes for all electrical and mechanical equipment including general building works.

·Supervises maintenance staff and contract employees who are carrying out minor building work, electrical and mechanical installations.

·Schedules planned and preventative maintenance programmes on all electrical and mechanical equipment throughout the hotel premises.

·Recommends and evaluates energy conservation programmes and ensures they are carried out and also investigates wastage.

·Prepares and submits to the general manager his department annual repairs and maintenance budget, including FF&E and any major or special projects that may be required.

Education and Experience:

Extensive experience in the designated industry including but not limited to construction, plumbing, carpentry, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

The ideal candidate should:

Have at least 2 years’ experience in the hospitality industry

Have current experience in a similar role with strong analytical thinking

Handle stress and work under pressure

Have good communication skills and strong administrative skills

Ability to find fault and rectify subsystems

Have strong leadership skills
